The Riot in Udalguri

Whatever is happening in Udalguri and its neighbouring areas, it is so disturbing to read about that. When the first day i saw in the newspaper i was eager to know detailed information about the incident. I waited impatiantly for the newspaper of the next day. But it was not what i expected. The content of the news was in page number 13. It seems funny why things are not considered equal. The incidents of Orissa where Christians were abused occupied the front page for so many days. Why not the news from Assam can be treated as important as that? people are dying, instead of digging the problem and seek solutions the news was published as 'Muslims were also the turget' of the millitants. The issue of communalism does not seem that important with the incident. Thing is that, illegal immigrants are chasing the natives. News should emphasize that matter. We are away from Assam and we expect the Media to bring the news with importance, because we can not get the Assamese newspapers and the NE News Channel we can not see outside Northeast. If the newspapers on whom we depend for news give us no satisfaction where can we look foward?
